winter update

YAY! An update. Good news- Mom got a camera (thanks Grandma and Grandpa!) and we got a new charger so we can use our laptop again and have a place for pictures, but until we unwrap that (tomorrow).. I put some on my school laptop for this post :)

It's Christmas Eve and the Midwest is seeing a major winter storm, but that hasn't stopped us!

Our awesome neighbors, the Hemmingsen's, came over and we played in the snow last night. It was PERFECT weather. It was a pretty snowfall and the wind wasn't blowing and to be honest, I had lots of layers but I took off my coat. It was an awesome beginning to Christmas break.


We wanted to make something in the snow, but not a snowman, so Elizabeth and I made a present :)



Tonight the weather messed with our plans a bit, the Wilkinson's couldn't make it like tradition would call for, but we were thrilled with the Hansen's braved the strom. Here we are getting ready for the Nativity performance. This was taken with Mom's new camera.. It looks like chaos because it is :)

Oh my goodness! How horrible am I?

I get this blog and do nothing with it-- It will take some getting used to.

We got back from Yellowstone and started school and of course things have just took off since then!

Isaac is in football and running for MS Student Body VP. Exciting!

Abby is playing volleyball and running cross country.

I am going crazy with lots of student council responsibilites and managing the cross country team.

Sam is doing two full days of preschool a week and Maggie is just Maggie :) She's dancing.

I have SO MANY pictures to show. Yellowstone, Lake Powell, Family Pictures, Senior Pictures, AH!
I'll try and do a picture a day for a while so I don't overwhelm :)

Just a sneak peak of our family pictures- some are awesome, but we struggled to get a good family shot. (Explaination later)

Busy, Busy

So I tried to update from my phone.. Didn't work out so well. Letters became numbers and symbols, so that's no good. Anyways..

We're always busy, but right now we're REALLY busy.
The Faldmo Family Reunion is next week, but we leave Friday (aka tomorrow) for West Yellowstone.
Mom's partially incharge, and she stole the theme "Faldmo Family Saves the World" from my student council. (Last year's homecoming theme was DV Saves the World, and it was all about going green. It was quite fantastic, if I do say so myself.)
Just to add to our long list, my car died on the way to church last night, and Mom had to get a root canal today. Pretty awesome right?
The good news is.. DAD GOT A NEW CAR!! Yes, the Caddy (Cruelella DeVille) has been gone for about a week now, and was traded in through the "Cash for Clunkers" program for a 2009 Ford Fusion. It's somewhat sad, and I have honestly had a dream with the Caddy in it since, but its exciting for Dad to be able to drive something with a CD player in it.

Anyways. Look forward to seeing some awesome Yellowstone pictures :)

to get things started..

This begins a recap on the last five months or so of the Faldmo family's life.

Me (Ashley) is making this post so there may or may not be more pictures with my face in them.. :)

All three girls are in ballet, and Abby and Maggie are also in tumbling.


Isaac, Abby, and myself all participated in basketball of course.






I was a junior this last year so I got to go to prom! Last year I was lucky enough to be asked to our prom and a neighboring school's prom but it was fun to be able to go with all my classmates.

Since I'm on student council we were in charge of decorations and such. This is me and three of my friends after decorating.

I went with a good friend of mine, Matt Green. We had a really great time together.


My group :) Mostly composed of other juniors.


I had the privilege of MCing the grand march with my friend Ryan. We had some chaos before so we had a nice wait time with everyone starring at us.


The family, and my friend from St. George Brynley, got to go to Florida at the beginning of this summer. This is us at Universal Studios.


We went on an airboat ride and after an animal show where you could hold an alligator!

This summer we have loved having our boat! These pictures are from Abby's 12th birthday party, which we celebrated with a lake day.




Tubing is always a hit!


Isaac plays baseball and his team did pretty good this year. He is one of the younger ones on his team ranging from going to be 8th graders to going to be sophomores. He got to catch during regional playoffs.

First Post!!

Hey guys, it's Ashley.
We're out here in SD, doing just about everything possible if you take a look at the seven of us's activities, but none of our family get to hear about it!
I decided it was time for us to have a blog :)
I'm not sure how this will work, or if all of it will end up being me doing the work, but hopefully by the time I leave for college they can continue the updates on their own.
